Sometimes it can be hard to find the right words to express how we feel. Sometimes there are no words to describe what happened. Art therapy supports clients in using art to express their thoughts and feelings. We incorporate a myriad of media such as paint, oil pastels, fiber, collage, and 3-D art interventions to support folks in expressing their thoughts and feelings, creative problem-solving, distress tolerance, mindfulness, anxiety-reduction, and cultivating healthy coping strategies. You don't have to be an artist to benefit. Art therapy is not about making a perfect art piece, but using art as a tool to express yourself! Any art style, level, or age can participate.
